Warren Bailes CainHello Classmates of '63 and Welcome to our 50th Reunion Page! We are on a ROLL! Over 250 persons attending the Saturday night festivities at the Country Club of Birmingham, and we had an overflow crowd at the Marriott Hospitality Suite on Friday evening!

THE 50TH REUNION CALLED FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL AND WE WORKED HARD TO MAKE IT JUST THAT!

FRIDAY NIGHT APRIL 19TH ACTIVITIES

Larry Holt invited Coach Bill Legg who attended our Friday night festivities at the Marriott. It was great to see him and visit with classmates, spouses and friends from all over the country. See event photos here.

Our host hotel, the BIRMINGHAM MARRIOTT (Click for MAP - Located on highway 280 at I-459), was the hub of our activities. We had a Hospitality Suite open both nights with light snacks available. The Hospitality Suite was available Friday, Saturday & Sunday morning for visiting. The Mariott assigned Philippa Stricklin to be our SVHS Reunion Contact person. She made our reservations at telephone 205.968.4510 or e-mail philippa.stricklin@marriott.com. Thanks, Philippa!

SATURDAY APRIL 20TH ACTIVITIES

A tour of Vestavia Hills East Elementary School was arrranged for former Vestavia students who attended our 50th Reunion.

Thirteen classmates along with many spouses met at 10 AM for the tour conducted by Principal Mark Richardson. Thanks to our classmate Hank Battle for arranging this tour, and to Mark for meeting with us!

See event photos here.

On Saturday night, the SVHS class of 1963 convened in East Room at The Country Club of Birmingham for great fellowship and fun. We feasted on food from the delicious Southern Style buffet and enjoyed beer, wine and mixed drinks from the cash bar. The Country Club of Birmingham is located on Country Club Road between Mt Brook / English Village and Crestline Village. Click for MAP.

Thanks to everyone who worked to make these events successful and to all who attended! See event photos here.
